Lewis Porteous gets the lowdown from the Newmarket trainer

James Owen is in a unique position as he prepares his team for the core jumps season. He's already saddled 98 winners on the Flat in Britain this year and been crowned leading trainer in the inaugural summer jumps championship.
Green Ridge Stables on the Hamilton Road in Newmarket is a yard for all seasons and houses a team with plenty of potential for the autumn, winter and spring over jumps.
"I enjoy all of it but I do love the jumps," says the Grade 2-winning trainer, who cut his teeth riding in point-to-points. "We've got a really nice team of jumpers and just need a few of the juveniles to click."
