Jamie Snowden gives Liam Headd the lowdown on his squad for the season

Jamie Snowden is becoming a trainer to follow, building again on last season’s career-best return for both winners and prize-money.

The Lambourn man registered 62 winners last term, with his biggest success coming when Julius Des Pictons provided the yard with its first Grade 1 winner in the Sefton Novices’ Hurdle at the Grand National meeting, and is already more than halfway towards that total before autumn is done.

Although Snowden was dealt a blow with that horse ruled out for the season due to an injury, he can rely on Wendigo to feature heavily in the big races this term when he tackles novice chases, a division in which the trainer looks particularly strong, with Grade 3 winner Laurens Bay and Grade 2 winner Hollygrove Cha Cha adding depth.
