Last season the coronavirus national lockdown robbed Evan Williams of a 15th successive season of chalking up at least 50 winners, but it was still memorable with a Grade 1 success as well as several other high-profile victories, but the current campaign looks set to be one of his best.
The emphatic success of Silver Streak in the Grade 1 Christmas Hurdle has been the highlight, but with one of the strongest teams he has ever assembled there is the promise of so much more. The yard was responsible for two strong fancies in the Welsh National, one a favourite, before the weather gods intervened.
