From the cha-cha-cha to the tango - several Lambourn names gear up to dance the night away at Newbury

It might not be broadcast to millions of people across Britain, or staged at the historic Blackpool Tower Ballroom, but several members of the Lambourn community will slip into their dancing shoes at Newbury racecourse on Sunday.

The Berkshire track will play host to the first of two Racing Come Dancing events, which will see eight couples take part in several ballroom dances in aid of Racing Welfare.

Folly House trainer Jamie Snowden and wife Lucy have been training in Thatcham – just a stone's throw from Newbury – and will be one of the couples putting on their ballroom shoes and flamboyant outfits when they tackle the tango.
