David Fox used to see racehorses virtually every day as he was growing up when his school bus from Great Shefford passed through Lambourn. The self-employed chauffeur never dreamed he would own one himself – until he joined the newly born British Racing Club (britishracingclub.co.uk) in October last year.
Now he is one of about 200 members who own a small share in a string of horses carrying the red, white and blue colours and placed with an array of trainers, among them Grand National-winning trainer Lucinda Russell, Richard Hughes, Charlie Hills and Philip Hobbs.
