Nicholas Godfrey speaks to Paul Moloney, who rides Cheltenham specialist
Even after two decades as a jump jockey, the big Saturdays can still give you a buzz. And when they’re at Cheltenham, that goes doubly so. Just ask Paul Moloney, who numbers long-time sparring partner Buywise in today’s showpiece, the Caspian Caviar Gold Cup, among his rides this afternoon at the home of jump racing.
“There is only one Cheltenham – every meeting is a good meeting at Cheltenham,” says the 38-year-old Irishman. “Definitely this time of year is the best time of year as well. There are big races every Saturday and these are the things you want to be involved in.
