World Pool expanded to include Dewhurst day at Newmarket in October - plus additional races in Australia and Brazil

Dewhurst Stakes day has been added to the World Pool roster, with the Hong Kong Jockey Club-founded pools featuring some new fixtures for the remainder of 2025.
The Newmarket card on October 11, along with Caulfield’s Might And Power meeting on the same day, will be available to World Pool customers for the first time.
A week later, the World Pool offering will include eight Group 1s across two continents, with five on British Champions Day at Ascot, two at Randwick, headed by the A$20 million (£9.6m/€11.1m) The Everest, and the Caulfield Cup.
The Cox Plate on October 25 also returns as a World Pool event, with Moonee Valley’s full ten-race card set to be included ahead of the track’s major redevelopment. Romantic Warrior won the race in 2023 when the card was last part of the World Pool.
Sam Nati, HKJC head of commingling, said: “We're excited to announce an expanded programme of race days for Q4, after what has already been an excellent year of growth for World Pool.”
Brazil will stage its first World Pool fixture when Rio de Janeiro’s Gávea racecourse hosts the Gran Premio Latinamericano on October 19, following on from the race’s successful inclusion in the World Pool programme when it was held in Argentina two years ago.
Further expansion comes the following month on November 8 with VRC Champions Stakes day from Flemington, which features three Group 1s on the final day of the Melbourne Cup Carnival. The Hong Kong International Races day at Sha Tin on December 14 will have all ten races commingled for the first time, an increase on the four Group 1s included in 2024.
