'We've got some wonderful horses for the future' - Paul Nicholls can't wait for next season after two Aintree Grade 1 strikes

Paul Nicholls is already looking forward to next season after catching a glimpse of what the future might hold during a triumphant week at Aintree's Grand National meeting.
By his own account, it has been an up-and-down season for the 14-time champion trainer, but his team are finishing the campaign on a high, with novice chasers Caldwell Potter and Kalif Du Berlais both hitting the Grade 1 bullseye at Aintree and stablemate Regent's Stroll narrowly beaten in the Mersey Novices' Hurdle.
Nicholls is confident the best is still to come from all three and, with plenty of untapped potential within the ranks at Ditcheat, next season cannot now come quickly enough.
