Grade 1-winning trainer Milton Harris has called for the BHA to license stable staff in an attempt to prevent the problem of them "flitting" between yards.

Harris is frustrated by the way young members of the workforce frequently switch stables and believes that should such moves need to be officially sanctioned, as they are for apprentices and conditional jockeys, it would encourage more responsibility.

The Wiltshire-based handler has expanded his team of late and sent out more than 50 winners in each of the last two jumps seasons but that has made him more vulnerable to the staffing issues that are well documented across racing.
