Ombudsman heads a stellar cast of older horses and three-year-olds in the Coral-Eclipse on Saturday. Below, Derby-winning jockey Martin Dwyer has his say on what promises to be a tactical affair at Sandown . . . 


It's definitely a top-class running and while we don't know how many are going to stand their ground, it looks like being a good mix of three-year-olds and older horses, and it promises to be ultra-competitive.

Ombudsman holds all the aces. He's had six runs but has won five of them, with his only defeat coming on his first start of the season in the Brigadier Gerard. The way he won the Prince of Wales's Stakes at Royal Ascot was incredible. I bet you there were a few swear words going around in William Buick's mind as he was having a nightmare but when the gap came, the horse found that acceleration and got him out of trouble.
