Every Ryan Moore winner at Royal Ascot will bag £5,000 donation for Retraining of Racehorses

Retraining of Racehorses (RoR) will receive a donation of £5,000 every time leading jockey Ryan Moore rides a winner at Royal Ascot.
The initiative, which returns for a second year, raised £30,000 in 2024 due to Moore’s six victories across the royal meeting.
RoR plays such an important role in the aftercare of horses who have retired from racing. The donations will be provided by Ascot Racecourse Supports, a programme created by the course which supports local charities and community groups.
Moore is hoping to make a "significant contribution", while Ascot chief Nick Smith is delighted to see the scheme return following last year’s success.
Smith said: "Using Royal Ascot’s international platform to raise awareness for such good causes is important to us. We hope our donation and the publicity this generates for RoR will help them with their continued work in the aftercare of racehorses."
Moore added: "It was great to raise £30,000 last year for this initiative and hopefully I can ride a few more winners again this year to make a significant contribution to this vital charity."
The idea was introduced to build awareness of RoR's work both within and beyond the sport, and the organisation's managing director David Catlow hailed its contribution to the charity's work.
He said: "The visibility this initiative brings, combined with the generous financial support, plays a vital role in helping us deliver our charitable mission."
The initiative will be promoted during Royal Ascot, with RoR sharing updates on Moore’s progress via its social media channels and website.
