Tom Dascombe's efforts to diversify could lead to a crack at the Cheltenham Festival with smart Flat performer Hot Fuss, who was introduced to the Triumph Hurdle market after victory at Sandown on Friday.

Dascombe, who is based in Lambourn, usually operates on the Flat, but Hot Fuss has featured over hurdles on his last two outings.

The three-year-old, who finished fifth in the Listed Chesham Stakes at Royal Ascot on his second start, is 25-1 with bet365 and a best-priced 40-1 with Paddy Power for the Triumph Hurdle on March 14, although his participation at Cheltenham will hinge on his performance in the Grade 2 Finale Juvenile Hurdle at Chepstow on December 27.
