Beauty Generation to miss potential clash with Almond Eye in Japan

Hong Kong superstar Beauty Generation will not be making the trip to Japan for the Yasuda Kinen, meaning a potential barnstorming clash with Almond Eye is off.
Connections of Beauty Generation have decided the world's top miler has done enough for the campaign, after posting eight wins from eight runs since October.
Beauty Generation did not figure in the Royal Ascot entries published on Wednesday, and the six-year-old gelding is set for a rest.
“Thank you for your continuous support to Beauty Generation,” said a statement from owner Patrick Kwok.
“We understand that there is interest in the racing community as to whether he will race in the Yasuda Kinen in Japan next month. After thorough discussions with our trainer, we have concluded that the most appropriate and proper arrangement for the horse is for him to stay in Hong Kong.
"We hope that he would, under sufficient rest and training, continue to carry your hopes and continue his winning streak.”
Japan Cup winner Almond Eye is another Far East superstar also set to remain at home instead of coming to Europe this year – the filly had been among the front rank in betting on the Arc until her connections announced they were unwilling to travel her.
