Nap of the day: the best horse racing tips from the day's six meetings on Tuesday, October 14

Dundalk
5.35: Valiant Force
It is hard to get away from the claims of the top-rated Valiant Force, who should be tough to topple on these terms. Fandom needs to prove his effectiveness on this new surface so Songhai might be the one that gives the selection most to think about.
Dave Stephens
Leicester
4.44: Sarab Star
It looks a competitive event but the unexposed Sarab Star, who has won twice in novice company, is selected to make a winning handicap debut. Aurora Majesty, the in-form Legal Reform, It'sneverjustone and Kisskodi are four others with good claims.
Colin Russell
Lingfield
5.40: Sturlasson
Several pace influences are on show and this should be fast and furious. Hedge Fund and Grace Angel can go well but the two to appeal most are Forager and Sturlasson. Forager ran a fine race from stall 10 here last month and is better berthed this time but Sturlasson produced a potent finishing kick to win at Southwell on his stable debut and he can make light of his 7lb rise.
Paul Smith
Market Rasen
2.51: Indemnity
The 5yo Indemnity was a good Flat horse and he's going the right way over hurdles, winning so easily at Warwick last time. A 7lb rise seems very fair. Vocito has had feasible excuses since doing well to win at Uttoxeter and he's second choice. Chaos Control and Takeit Easy are well handicapped but with some questions to answer.
Alistair Jones
Newcastle
7.00: Rain Cap
This looks to be a golden opportunity for the in-form Rain Cap to win his first race on AW after a solid spell on turf on his last few starts. He has most to fear from Flash The Dash who has won over C&D and returns from a break. Ifonlytheycudtalk has a poor win record but ran well on his last AW start, while The Real McKay has won off higher marks and was second at Yarmouth last month.
Andrew Bladen
Punchestown
2.35: Eastmore
Not many of these have been at peak form lately, and Eastmore has a clear chance based on two solid performances back to back. Watching The Clock has been hit with 10lb extra for her Gowran win but looks sufficiently progressive to feature. Derry Lad could go well if recovered from last Friday's Gowran run. Bearami Creek and last year's winner Jake Peter also have claims.
