Nap of the day: the best horse racing tips from the day's six meetings on Friday, October 10

Chepstow

3.12: Torn And Frayed

Courtland (second choice) must have every chance as he may need this longer trip these days but the same remark applies to Torn And Frayed, who won so well off only 3lb lower at Warwick during the opening half of last season. Le Milos remains a very capable staying chaser and Tullybeg would be dangerous if Sean Bowen can get him jumping.

Downpatrick

5.05: The Electrical Kid

It was a better race than this that The Electrical Kid finished second in at Listowel and with a repeat of that effort the lightly raced eight-year-old will take this. If he takes his chance following his win three days ago then Torquay Road can give him most to do.

Dundalk

6.00: Suspicious Mindz

The AW debutant Suspicious Mindz got to within 0.5l of subsequent Middle Park runner up Brussels on his second start and if he repeats that, he'll be hard to beat. His pedigree suggests he'll act on this surface. Aqua Bear and World Tour look the biggest dangers on form and the newcomer Sovereign Cry needs monitoring in the market given his yard's record with 2yos at this track (7-30).

Kempton

7.15: Pride Of Donegal

Bohemian Breeze gave a very good account when second in a series final on turf last month and is respected, but handicap debutant Pride Of Donegal moves up in trip after giving a useful rival a real fright in a recent 1m2f Newcastle maiden and he may still have more to offer. Si Solus and Bajan Blue should both be capable of much better than they showed on their handicap debuts, while Caspian King can be excused his recent defeat on soft ground and might also feature.

Newmarket

1.50: Classic Cuvee

Particularly solid is Classic Cuvee, who has strong debut form and proved gutsy next time. Calendar Girl (second choice) warrants respect with further improvement plausible, while the rematch between Mubasimah and Shady Dame adds interest.

York

4.25: Al Hussar

Kinswoman is 2-2 over 5f and is bred to carry on progressing so she has to come right into the reckoning, while Roach Power, Dan Tucker and Vantheman all need a second look. Al Hussar bumped into an interesting opponent when second at Hamilton 11 days ago and although he faces different ground today, he looks ahead of his mark.
