Nap of the day: the best horse racing tips from the day's five meetings on Wednesday, August 13

Salisbury

5.00: Offiah's Boy

The glaringly in-form candidate is OFFIAH'S BOY and this does not look a strong field, so he may well be able to score for the fourth time this summer. Mrembo and Fillyfudge are likely to provide the most resistance, with fast ground the concern for Albus Anne who would otherwise be in with a shout.

Beverley

4.15: Bell Shot

Triggerman (second choice) and Leap Day are considered, although their poor win records do cast a slight shadow. That cannot be said of BELL SHOT, who had another day in the sun last time and looks sure to give it a proper go in his bid to make it 3-3 at Beverley. The remaining three are by no means dismissed.

Ffos Las

7.55: Typeface

Bobby Dassler has switched yards since finishing behind TYPEFACE in a classified event over C&D 15 days ago and the latter is taken to follow up. The first-time togue-tie seemed to make all the difference for the selection and this well-bred 3yo may yet do better. Lunanova (second choice) commands respect attempting to complete the hat-trick, with Al Shabab next on the list.

Gowran Park

6.05: Shakazia

Johnny Murtagh's 3yo filly SHAKAZIA can prove equal to the task in her first handicap following a clearcut maiden win over this trip. Quadruple exploited a drop in class to win a handicap last time but is 9lb higher as a result and not certain to uphold form with Exquisite Acclaim, better known for his all-weather feats but now 3lb lower than winning this race last year, his only turf win.

Kempton

7.45: Maybe Not

This can go to one of the progressive 3yos. A War Eagle isn't passed over lightly but MAYBE NOT might have a bit more to offer over this new trip. King Of Fury looks the pick of the older brigade.
