Leicester maintained their pursuit of Premier League leaders Liverpool with a 4-1 win over Aston Villa on Sunday but that hasn’t stopped Betfred paying out on the Reds winning their first league title since 1990.

They’re the second firm to do so following Betway’s decision to cash in Reds backers last month.

Leicester are just eight points behind Jurgen Klopp’s men, but Liverpool remain long odds-on favourites to wrap up the championship, and Manchester City remain their biggest challengers in the betting despite being 14 points adrift in third place.

The champions are a best-priced 8-1 with bet365 to secure a hat-trick of titles, while Hills are a top-priced 20-1 about Leicester emulating their 2016 heroics when they landed their first top-flight crown as 5,000-1 shots.

A top-four finish remains a more realistic aim and the Foxes are just 1-6 with Betfred to secure Champions League football after their sensational current run which has seen them win eight successive games.

Jamie Vardy has been integral to that run, scoring in each of those victories, and he is 16-1 with bet365 to beat his own record of scoring in 11 consecutive games, which he set during that title-winning season.

It took Vardy to 16 goals for the season, five clear of Chelsea's Tammy Abraham, and the Leicester poacher is 13-10 to finish as the league's top scorer.

Wolves are 35-1 with Betfair and Paddy Power to finish in the top four after they edged closer to the coveted positions with a 2-2 draw at the Amex.

Wanderers joined Manchester United on 24 points in sixth place but it could have been so much better for Nuno's men, who opened the scoring on the south coast.

Goals from Neal Maupay and Davy Propper put the home side in front but Wolves responded with Jota's second goal of the game.

Norwich are 1-10 to be relegated after they lost 2-1 at home to Sheffield United, while Southampton are 17-10 with Betfair and Paddy Power to go down after they lost by the same scoreline at Newcastle.

Villa are on 15 points along with the Saints and are 2-1 to be in the Sky Bet Championship next season.

Fraser Forster was Celtic's hero in Scotland as his man-of-the-match performance helped the Bhoys land the first silverware of the season in the Betfred Cup final.

Forster produced a string of fine stops, including a penalty save from Alfredo Morelos, to deny the Gers, who played with an extra man for the final 30 minutes after Jeremie Frimpong was sent off for his foul on Morelos which led to the spot-kick.
