Match preview
Brighton have been touted as the unluckiest team in the Premier League due to the number of times they have dominated opponents without pocketing maximum points.
But the tide could be about to turn for the Seagulls, starting on Saturday against Leicester at the Amex.
Failing to make the most of their chances has been a long-term trend for the Sussex side but the last three games have been incredible as Graham Potter's men have rained in 66 shots - 20 of them on target - yet managed just one point and one goal.
Their 2-1 loss to Crystal Palace in their last home game was the most extraordinary as the Seagulls' relentless attacks mounted a total of shots 25 to three.
Poor finishing is partly to blame but Brighton should be higher in the table and need to move away from danger sooner rather than later because their final three matches – at home to West Ham and Manchester City and away to Arsenal – may not yield many points.
Potter is unlikely to change his team's high-intensity style and the approach could work against Leicester, who have looked mentally and physically tired in recent games.
With 11 games to go the Foxes are third – four points inside the top four – but parallels are being drawn with last season when they appeared on course for Champions League qualification before falling short with three defeats in their final four matches.
One route to Champions League football was closed off last month with a 2-0 aggregate loss to Slavia Prague in the Europa League round of 32.
And there are signs of a European hangover after Leicester have taken one point from their last two league games - losing 3-1 at home to Arsenal and drawing 1-1 at Burnley.
It took some decent saves from Kasper Schmeichel to preserve their point at Turf Moor and Leicester looked well below their best in attack without injured pair Harvey Barnes and James Maddison.
Brendan Rodgers will be anxious to get his best team on the pitch as soon as possible and had some good news at Burnley, where key defender Wesley Fofana came off the bench to make his first appearance since January.
Fofana's return to the starting line-up would allow Wilfred Ndidi to resume his midfield duties and give Leicester more of a settled look.
But it could be a while before the Foxes are ready to fire on all cylinders and they may sustain more damage against Brighton, who can pick up an overdue three points.
Key stat
Leicester have failed to win four of their last five matches.
