Branden Grace cemented his position at the top of the SA Open betting after opening up with a seven-under-par round of 65 to share the lead at Glendower Golf Club.

Grace, a 13-2 chance ante-post, shortened to 7-4 after making three eagles and three birdies in an impressive return to action. Charl Schwartzel remains second in the market, the former Masters champion fighting back from one over par to finish three under.

Second-round threeball punters should consider Jason Scrivener, who, like Schwartzel, finished strongly after a sloppy start. Scrivener, course-proven and in excellent pre-Christmas form, can see off Jinho Choi and Mark Williams in the 10.30am (UK and Ireland) match.
