The divisional round of the NFL playoffs wraps up with a red-hot clash between the Dallas Cowboys and San Francisco 49ers.

Both teams had tremendous regular seasons and looked strong in their Wild-Card games, and there could be value in taking the Cowboys to at least keep this within a field goal.

Dallas may be the only team in the NFC who have the quality to beat the Niners, but the handicap insurance is worth taking.

No other team in the Cowboys’ conference have the combination of a top quarterback such as Dak Prescott, an explosive running back in Tony Pollard, an elite wide receiver such as CeeDee Lamb, and all of that grouped with a superb offensive line and tremendous defence.

The 49ers have an incredible level of depth too, and their weapons on offence coupled with their top-level defence certainly make them a force to be reckoned with. But how much can you trust QB Brock Purdy to keep getting it done?

Purdy showed flickers of doubt in the first half against the Seahawks last week before steadying the ship, but he may not be so fortunate against this Dallas team. These are uncharted waters for the rookie signal-caller, and he may be out of his depth.

Meanwhile, this Cowboys offence should be the biggest test that the 49ers have faced in quite some time, and Prescott showed last week how dangerous he can be when he gets hot.

This really is a battle between two top teams, but with things so close between them on paper, go with the Cowboys and the points.
