Liverpool vs Newcastle Bet Builder tips
Under 3.5 goals
Newcastle and Liverpool were involved in a thrilling 3-3 Premier League draw at St James' Park in December but their EFL Cup final clash at Wembley could be more cagey.
The Magpies failed to land a blow on the Reds in last month's return fixture at Anfield, losing 2-0, and under 3.5 goals looks a solid selection for the Bet Builder.
Newcastle have conceded only two goals in their six EFL Cup ties against Nottingham Forest, AFC Wimbledon, Chelsea, Brentford and Arsenal, who were beaten 4-0 on aggregate in the two-legged semi-final.
However, they lacked attacking fluency in Monday's low-key 1-0 win at West Ham and Liverpool, who lost on penalties to Paris St-Germain in the Champions League on Tuesday, may not be at their slickest either.
The Reds' last three cup finals all ended 0-0 after 90 minutes and, although the runaway Premier League leaders are worthy favourites, they are unlikely to cut loose against a solid Newcastle side.
Under 4.5 Newcastle corners
Newcastle's hopes of upsetting the odds and ending their 70-year wait for a domestic trophy have been dented by an injury to exciting left-back Lewis Hall and the suspension of winger Anthony Gordon.
Former Everton man Gordon is the Magpies' most dynamic wide player and his absence could contribute to a low corner tally for the underdogs.
Eddie Howe's men won four corners in Monday's victory at West Ham and only two in last month's league defeat at Anfield.
They took four flag-kicks in another recent loss at Manchester City and Trent Alexander-Arnold's absence, while reducing Liverpool's attacking verve, could make them more secure defensively.
Dominik Szoboszlai to score or assist a goal
Liverpool's Mohamed Salah dominates most of the player-prop markets, having contributed 27 goals and 17 assists in just 29 Premier League appearances this season.
However, Dominik Szoboszlai has developed into one of Salah's most effective attacking allies and he is a tempting price to score or assist a goal at Wembley.
Szoboszlai found the net with one of his three shots in last month's home win over Newcastle and was involved in both goals in the 2-0 victory at Manchester City.
He set up Salah's opener at the Etihad Stadium before scoring Liverpool's second and was excellent in the Reds' EFL Cup semi-final second-leg rout of Tottenham.
The Hungary star had five attempts at Anfield and his well-taken goal in the 75th minute killed off any chance of a Spurs comeback.
