Harrogate v Port Vale

Port Vale have been grinding their way back into the League Two promotion race and can extend their unbeaten sequence to nine by defeating mid-table Harrogate at Wetherby Road.

The Valiants have negotiated their last three games without manager Darrell Clarke, who has been on compassionate leave, but they dominated large parts of last Tuesday's 1-1 draw at Rochdale and followed up with a 2-0 weekend win at home to Stevenage.

Vale are three points outside the playoff spots with two games in hand on seventh-placed Swindon, and they should fancy their chances against inconsistent Harrogate, who have not won back-to-back league games since October.

Harrogate hung on for a 0-0 draw at struggling Barrow on Saturday, but they shipped 11 goals across their previous four games and their suspect defence could be exposed.

Sheffield Wednesday v Burton

Sheffield Wednesday have hit their stride in League One – winning six of their last seven games – and their surge can continue with a home win over Burton.

The Owls were comfortable 2-0 victors at home to Charlton on Saturday, lifting them into the playoffs for the first time since November, and they are looking to reel in a few more teams by the end of the season.

Finishing in the top two would be a tough ask but Darren Moore's side could make some serious inroads in the run-up to Easter because all of their next seven games are against teams outside the top ten.

Burton can be stubborn opponents and held Sunderland to a 1-1 draw on Wearside last Tuesday.

However, they lost 2-0 at home to struggling Shrewsbury on Saturday and look ill-equipped to halt the Wednesday juggernaut.

Northampton v Walsall

Walsall have won two of three games under Mike Flynn and can take at least a point away from highflying Northampton at Sixfields Stadium.

The Saddlers are responding well to their new manager and can avoid defeat against the second-placed Cobblers, who looked anything but promotion material when losing 1-0 at Rochdale on Saturday.
