Sky Sports Main Event, 10pm approx Saturday

Amir Khan makes his long-awaited return to the ring against hand-picked opponent Phil Lo Greco in Liverpool and he should be able to get back to action in style.

Khan has been out of the ring for two years, and is without a win for three, choosing instead to dodge spiders and eat bugs in the I'm A Celebrity jungle.

Frampton v Donaire preview

In his last fight he was knocked out in six rounds in a WBC world middleweight title fight by Canelo Alvarez and been beaten four times in total.

But as any good pundit will tell you boxing is all about levels, and Khan is many levels above 12-1 underdog Lo Greco.

Still only 31, the former multi-weight world champion has vast amounts of experience at world level. He has beaten some of the biggest names around and still has plenty to offer.

Lo Greco has been used as a tune-up for elite fighters before - Errol Spence Jr stopped him in three rounds, while he was easily beaten on points by Shawn Porter.

Khan insists he is a boxer not a celebrity, and there is no reason to doubt his dedication. He has switched trainers after Virgil Hunter suffered an illness and he has had surgery on a hand injury, but Lo Greco looks the perfect opponent for Khan to showcase his talents.

Odds of 21-10 that he wins in the first six rounds look well worth snapping up.

Recommendation
A Khan rounds one-six
