Carl Frampton was not happy that Sky Sports and Eddie Hearn decided to put the Amir Khan show head-to-head with his card in Belfast, but the Jackal had better not be too rattled because he is up against an excellent opponent in Nonito Donaire and may need all his wits to survive.

The Filipino Flash seems to have been written off by bookies offering odds of 9-2 for him to silence the SSE Arena, but he could be a bad match for Frampton.

Frampton didn't look great in his last fight against Horacio Garcia - he was dropped in the seventh and looked exhausted at the final bell - and will need a huge improvement if he is to beat Donaire.

Khan v Lo Greco preview

Donaire has held world titles in four weight classes and has the experience to deal with the passionate Irish crowd.

Frampton has the talent to win but if he is not at his very best he could easily be beaten, and given the odds it makes much more sense to go with the upset.

Recommendation
N Donaire
1pt 9-2 general
