Nap of the day: the best horse racing tips from the day's five meetings on Wednesday, October 15

Kempton

7.10: Enpassant

Kitaro Kich might be the best handicapped horse in the field but a tactical event at 7f isn't sure to see him to best effect. Strike can go well but Enpassant could enjoy the run of things and he can quickly bounce back from a lesser effort at Newcastle 17 days ago.

Nottingham

2.40: Parisian Scholar

There are quite a few interesting contenders but Parisian Scholar bolted up at Newcastle last week and is taken to defy a 6lb penalty and make it 3-3 in nurseries. Aleen is a lot better than she showed on her nursery debut at Southwell and is feared most now in cheekpieces. Wolverhampton runner-up Vintage Heat is next on the list, while Cotton Bud and Domination are possible improvers on their first nursery starts.

Punchestown

4.35: Aurea Fortuna

Derek O'Connor's presence is a vote of confidence in Aurea Fortuna, who is potentially well treated relative to his hurdles rating. Likely dangers are Hit The Frame, who was in good form during the summer, and He Fitz In who can benefit from Alan O'Sullivan's useful claim.

3.20: Caelan

This looks good for Caelan, who raced far too freely in his first two hurdle races but beat a next-time-time winner when scoring in a first-time hood at Worcester last month and has scope for significant progress in handicaps. Saligo Bay was raised only 3lb for winning a competitive Market Rasen handicap 18 days ago and is second choice.

2.57: Superstylin

The change of scenery did the trick for Superstylin who scored on his stable debut over C&D last month, and he can go in again. The main danger is Dexter who ran well when second at Uttoxeter off this mark ten days ago. Hobie likes it around here and cannot be discounted following a decent fourth at Warwick last time, while there are races to be won with Saint Cyr De Pail and Gore Point.
