Nap of the day: the best horse racing tips from the day's five meetings on Tuesday, September 30

Ayr

3.00: Cisco Disco

The in form Obito should go well if handing this softer ground but preference is for CISCO DISCO who has gained wide-margin wins in two of his last three races and is ideally suited by plenty of give in the ground.

Bath

3.22: Spirit Of Breeze

The suggestion is SPIRIT OF BREEZE whose Salisbury win has been well advertised by the second and Ashley Lewis can claim his 5lb this time. Silent Flame should be on the premises but might just be vulnerable at the finish of this stiff 1m and second preference goes to Moonlight Bomb.

Cork

4.15: Purview

While it's disappointing that PURVIEW has failed to convert either of his chances since creating such a positive impression behind Delacroix earlier in the season, he remains a very smart prospect. He can take this en route to a bigger stage. Cadogan remains unexposed and he did give the top-class Henry Matisse plenty to think about last year. Reyenzi wasn't seen to best effect in a Group 3 on Irish Champions Weekend.

Newcastle

8.00: Penelope Valentine

Oilisa (second choice) has shaped well in two handicaps but the return to AW is a slight question mark, while Elettaria, Starshot and Woodrafff all have something to recommend them. However, PENELOPE VALENTINE still looks to be on a handy mark under a 6lb penalty for her Lingfield win and is selected to make it 2-3 since joining this stable.

 4.07: Jet Of Dreams

Cases can be made for all seven runners in a competitive race for the grade. Dual course winner Delpotro ought to give this a good shot from the front but JET OF DREAMS is also suited by this track and he returns here after running well behind the same very progressive rival in two Newton Abbot chases this summer. Harel Du Marais is next on the list.
