One who looks to have been laid out for this is Glenroyal, finishing strongly after not clear runs on both handicap starts at 1m1f and bred to relish this longer trip, being a brother to an Irish Cesarewitch winner, and now fitted with cheekpieces. Place claims are held by the likes of Enziya, Lagoon Nebula and Positive Energy. Second reserve Tassarolo is respected if getting a run.

Being a course-and-distance winner who likely has further progress in him, Getreadytorumble is preferred. Consistent Nad Alshiba Green is firmly in the mix, while a few others can also be viewed positively.

Chillhi (second choice) was a good winner over hurdles on Sunday and looks a potent force again, while Scudamore could have a bit more to offer in this sphere and Godstone may do better at this trip. However, Regally Blonde was clear with the runner-up when winning last time and that form has been franked.

Intervention (second choice) looks set to go well from a good draw, while Noble Victory and Chuti Manika can also feature, but Aberama Gold is preferred. His York win this month was a fine effort and he should be able to secure a good early position from stall five. He's accustomed to tackling stronger opposition than this and is fully effective over this course and distance.
