Evening Angles: three to follow over the jumps based on Racing Post stats

Using the Racing Post's unrivalled bank of stats, we pick out three horses to back tonight based on trainer form, RPRs and a potential track preference

Angle: Jamie Snowden is 3-9 in the last fortnight

Recent winners from Snowden's Lambourn yard have hardly been unexpected (SPs 10-11, evens and 8-15) but his beaten horses have also been running well, so it is reasonable to treat the yard as being in good order.

Between The Waters has been a fairly consistent performer and he has plenty of form over this sort of trip at sharpish tracks that take a deceptive amount of jumping.

Southwell fits into that category, so he commands respect off just 4lb higher than when he was a runaway winner in October.

Angle: The best of these over hurdles by at least 7lb on RPRs

It is over two years since Pingshou won the Top Novices' Hurdle at Aintree, but he did not disgrace himself in a couple of good novice chases around 2m last season and should be suited by longer trips.

He is in much calmer waters now, and has been given some time off after showing up reasonably well for a long way in the County Hurdle. If he retains even the lion's share of his class, he will take plenty of beating.

Angle: Record left-handed is vastly superior

A record of 3-18 going left-handed versus 0-8 the other way hints that Exxaro may be better going anti-clockwise and RPRs go a long way to back that up. There is 25lb between his best showing at the respective orientations.

He last ran at the right-handed Wincanton in October and now reappears at Ffos Las having also had a wind operation in the meantime. It could be that everything is in his favour tonight and he is well worth monitoring in the betting.
