Cracking The Puzzle

Harry Wilson strikes with an 85-40 winner at Wolverhampton after three winners at Goodwood - find out his remaining Racing League tips

Our tipster marks your card for the action on Thursday evening

Harry Wilson returns with his advice for all seven races on night two of the Racing League at Wolverhampton on Thursday

5.45 Wolverhampton
Racing League Race 8 Handicap, 6f

Harry's tip: Noble Victory

Noble Victory never figured on his turf debut at Chester this month, but he had a tricky draw anyway and it came after a 79-day break, so it's easy to forgive. He's much better assessed on his previous all-weather form. He ran better than the result suggests in two handicaps in April, having a rough time of it but keeping on nicely for fourth at Kempton and making a big move from the back before his effort petered out at Southwell. Time has told he faced an impossible task that day though, as winner Hammer The Hammer is now rated 22lb higher. He looks well treated off 3lb lower here and is expected to take a big step forward back on the all-weather.

Harry's tip: Sudden Flight

A return to the all-weather coupled with a drop in class should help Sudden Flight, who has been far from disgraced in good handicaps at Newmarket and York the last two times, staying on too late on ground that is likely too quick for him. He got the better of the now 104-rated Hammer The Hammer in a Southwell maiden in February before running a cracker to be beaten just a length under a 7lb penalty by an 85-rated rival at Wolverhampton after a short break in April and looks well handicapped of this mark of 87.

6.45 Wolverhampton
Racing League Race 10 Handicap, 1m6f

Harry's tip: Dancingwithmyself

Dancingwithmyself has recorded her two best Racing Post Ratings this season on the all-weather, finishing just a neck behind a subsequent winner at Kempton in May and landing a 1m5½f handicap at Chelmsford last month. The second and third have both won since, so the form looks solid, and she looks well treated off a 3lb higher mark now back on the synthetics.

Racing League Race 11 Handicap, 6f

Harry's tip: Queen's Guard

Queen's Guard went in the notebook after an eyecatching reappearance/stable debut in a competitive York handicap last month. She finished a close fourth, having travelled well and hit the front inside the final furlong before her lack of race-fitness told on her first start since wind surgery and a 209-day break. She had a good record on the all-weather for her former yard, with form figures of 23118 (eighth came in a Listed contest), and the form of her last win has been well advertised since by the runner-up, who has won three times and is now 11lb higher. She should build on her promising return off what looks workable work.

7.45 Wolverhampton
Racing League Race 12 Handicap, 1m½f

Harry's tip: Palio Di Siena

Palio Di Siena has had three runs in 26 days to get a handicap mark, showing ability in finishing second each time, latterly bumping into a useful rival who was sent off at 2-5. He has recorded progressive RPRs of 78, 79 and 82, which makes his opening mark of 76 look workable, and this switch to the all-weather is interesting, given the American influences in his pedigree. The longer trip shouldn't pose a problem and his early pace should enable him to get a good position.

Harry's tip: Koy Koy

Koy Koy has been disappointing this season, but there's a chance a return to this track could reinvigorate him and I just can't let him go unbacked at a big price. His Wolverhampton form figures read 1127 and that latest defeat can be somewhat forgotten, given it was followed by wind surgery and break, so connections clearly felt something was amiss. He's dropped 6lb below his last winning mark and will be a big player if breaking on terms.

8.45 Wolverhampton
Racing League Race 14 Handicap, 1m1½f

Harry's tip: Fox Avatar

Fox Avatar won with plenty more in hand than the winning margin of one and a quarter lengths suggests at Chelmsford this month, as he repeatedly found trouble in running before quickening up nicely and pulling away at the line. That form received a timely boost when fifth-placed Bamburgh won on Wednesday and he looks to have been let off lightly with a 6lb rise.
