Harry Wilson fired in a 17-2 winner yesterday and returns with his tips for the 12 races live on ITV on Super Saturday

Our tipster provides his fancies for the big races from Newmarket, York and Ascot

Harry Wilson returns with his advice for all seven races on day three of Newmarket's July Festival - plus the six races live on ITV from York and Ascot . . .

1.40 Newmarket
Rossdales British EBF Maiden Fillies' Stakes, 7f

Harry's tip: Snow Light

There is barely any form to go on, but Charlie Appleby has won this five times in the last eight years, most recently with subsequent 1,000 Guineas winner Desert Flower, and his Snow Light, the pick of William Buick from the Godolphin pair, is likely to be a big player. Her dam Light Blush made a winning debut in this contest in 2019 and she can follow suit.

Harry's tip: Blue For You

This is the best time of year for Blue For You, who has form figures in July of 1022211, which includes a half-length second and two wins in the last three runnings of this race. He shaped well with the visor back on over an inadequate trip last time, making up good ground from the back, and should be spot on now back over a mile, while his mark of 94 is lower than for each of his victories in this race, which would again be the target.

2.12 Newmarket
Trustatrader 20th Anniversary Fillies' Handicap, 7f

Harry's tip: Havana Pusey

Havana Pusey is in the form of her life, following back-to-back handicap wins with a good fourth in the Group 3 6f Chipchase Stakes at Newcastle last time when her stamina came into play late on off a strong gallop. She's been raised only 2lb for that career-best effort and this improver should have a big say now back up in trip in a handicap.

2.22 Ascot
Cornish Orchards Summer Mile Stakes (Group 2), 1m

Harry's tip: Point Lynas

Not a lot separates the runners on figures, but Point Lynas looks to have been seriously underestimated in the market, given he has fewer questions to answer than the top three in the betting. He recorded a smart Racing Post Rating of 115 when hacking up in a Listed race at Pontefract last year and wasn't far off that level when a close fourth in a French Group 3 last time, having been well clear at one stage. A stiff mile on fast ground is ideal and he could run his rivals ragged if getting loose in front.

2.35 York
John Smith's City Walls Stakes (Listed), 5f

Harry's tip: Grand Grey

Kevin Ryan has the favourite in Washington Heights, who has obvious claims now dropping in class, but I'm siding with his other runner as I don't think we've seen the best of Grand Grey yet. He was a close second in the Group 3 Abernant Stakes following a 196-day break on his stable debut in April and can be forgiven his last two runs , as he suffered traffic problems in the Greenlands Stakes and was far too keen in the Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Stakes. He showed good pace to lay up with the leaders last time and is worth a return to this shorter trip. He looked unlucky not to win the Group 3 Prix du Petit Couvert in September last year before a midfield finish in the Prix de l'Abbaye on his only two starts at 5f when trained in France and he's going to get a good pace to aim at.

2.50 Newmarket
bet365 Bunbury Cup, 7f

Harry's tip: Run Boy Run

Run Boy Run shaped better than the result suggested in the Buckingham Palace Stakes, as he had to make his own running and was the only one from his side to finish in the first 11. He’d previously run to Racing Post Ratings of 100, 100 and 99 in 6f handicaps, including when going down by just three-quarters of a length to More Thunder, who is 3lb worse off this time. His mark of 95 still looks workable and a return to the July course, where his form figures are 2211, is a big positive.

3.10 York
John Smith's Cup Handicap, 1m2½f

Harry's tip: Hand Of God

Hand Of God was progressive last year, completing a hat-trick in the Golden Gates before missing the rest of 2024. He took a big step forward from his reappearance when sixth in the Duke of Edinburgh Stakes at Royal Ascot. He travelled kindly and looked set to challenge but appeared not to stay a mile and a half, fading in the closing stages. This was mooted as the possible next step and he can resume his progress now down in trip.

3.25 Newmarket
bet365 Mile Handicap, 1m

Harry's tip: Raafedd

Raafedd was well supported for the Britannia Stakes and looks worth another chance after a luckless run at Royal Ascot. He was short of room as the race started to develop and was then repeatedly denied a clear run when trying to make headway. He had previously looked good when getting off the mark at the third attempt at Newbury in May, beating two subsequent winners and looking value for more than the two-length winning margin. He is just the type to progress in handicaps.

3.45 York
John Smith's Silver Cup Stakes (Group 3), 1m6f

Harry's tip: Tabletalk (nap)

Tabletalk is held in high regard – he was allowed to take his chance in last year's Derby – and showed his class when relishing the step up to 1m6f to land the Melrose Handicap at York last August. That contest is often one of the strongest three-year-old handicaps of the season and he won in a good time, which hinted at his potential at Group level. He has run well on each of his three starts this season over 1m4f, latterly when sixth in the Group 2 Hardwicke Stakes at Royal Ascot. He's looked as if he would benefit from more emphasis on stamina and this step up in trip is ideal. The form of his Aston Park Stakes second received a boost when third-placed El Cordobes won the Group 2 Princess of Wales's Stakes on Thursday and he should be hard to beat down in class at a track that suits.

4.00 Newmarket
bet365 Superlative Stakes (Group 2), 7f

Harry's tip: Italy

Italy looked an exciting prospect when overcoming clear signs of greenness to win a 7f maiden at Leopardstown in May. He took his time to hit top gear but absolutely roared home, clocking a couple of fast closing furlongs to run down subsequent Chesham runner-up Thesecretadversary. A powerful-looking son of Wootton Bassett, he's related to several useful sorts and appears to be another top-class Ballydoyle colt in the making.

4.35 Newmarket
Al Basti Equiworld, Dubai July Cup Stakes (Group 1), 6f

Harry's tip: Flora Of Bermuda

Flora Of Bermuda would have finished closer to the front pair in the Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Stakes last time had she not had to wait for a clear run and been bumped as she was being switched, so that effort can be marked up. She also holds a number of these on that running. She flourished last year, winning a Group 3 against her own sex before a luckless fifth in Haydock’s Sprint Cup and a half-length third in the Champions Sprint,. She's due one of these top-level contests.

4.50 Ascot
LK Bennett Butterfly Mark Heritage Handicap, 5f

Harry's tip: Woolhampton

Woolhampton has a solid record at Ascot, with form figures over 5f of 13216616, and she wasn't beaten far in big-field handicaps for two of the sixths, both under today's jockey Oliver Searle. She has now dropped to her last winning mark despite running well in a pair of Windsor handicaps, latterly finishing a length behind Palace of Holyroodhouse winner Adrestia. She was an eyecatcher at Newcastle last time, as she was staying on well before having to be reined back off heels when the early leader fell back into her lap and then was eased. A big run looks likely.

5.10 Newmarket
Trustatrader Handicap, 1m4f

Harry's tip: Claymore

Claymore is on a long losing run, but he has shown bits of good form since he was gelded, including when second in a 1m4f handicap on the Rowley Mile course here in May. He looked to be going the better of the front pair but was outbattled by the winner in the final furlong. He was disappointing at Chester last time, but he has a solid record on the other Newmarket course, which bodes well, and looks worth another try off a career-low mark.
