Harry Wilson banged in three winners in his last column - find out who he fancies for every race on day one of York's Dante meeting

Our tipster marks your card for the ITV action at York and Yarmouth on Wednesday

Harry Wilson returns with his advice for all seven races from day one of York's Dante meeting on Wednesday - plus the race live on ITV from Yarmouth. . .

2.10 York
Sky Bet Race To The Ebor Jorvik Handicap, 1m4f

Harry's tip: Plage De Havre

Andrew Balding hasn't had many runners in this contest, but those he has run have gone well and that suggests Plage De Havre must be ready to go after pulling up on All-Weather Championships finals day when last seen. He pulled his way to the front and helped set a pace that resulted in a course record time for the distance that day, so he can be forgiven for that, especially as I'm not sure he's an out-and-out stayer. He had posted progressive Racing Post Ratings before that, following his thumping of subsequent dual winner Midnight Lion over this distance in February with a good second to the well treated Wonder Legend in March. He gets to run off the same mark as that day and showed enough on his debut to suggest he will transfer his improvement to turf.

2.25 Yarmouth
EveryTip Betting Tips Handicap, 7f

Harry's tip: Berry Clever

The drop back to 7f looks a good move for Berry Clever, who was picked up late on over a mile at Yarmouth last time. He has taken time to deliver on the promise he showed early on in his career but came good at the back-end of last season, winning a pair of 7f handicaps with a bit in hand. He is yet to win in six starts on turf, but his latest effort was right up there with his best form and the likely stronger pace should see him break his maiden on grass.

2.42 York
Churchill Tyres Handicap, 6f

Harry's tip: Mister Sox

Mister Sox has improved massively since dropping to six furlongs on good ground, completing a hat-trick with something to spare at Ripon last week. He looked especially suited by coming off a fast pace when bolting up at Pontefract on his penultimate start and he could be granted a similar set-up here given there are lots of pacesetters near where he is drawn. This is a better race but he's still unexposed at the distance and his 5lb penalty is offset by the claim of the useful Tom Kiely-Marshall. He could be underestimated in the market.

3.13 York
1895 Duke of York Clipper Stakes (Group 2), 6f

Harry's tip: Elite Status

Elite Status looked a sprinter going places this time last year when running away with the Listed Carnarvon Stakes at Newbury and confirmed that impression when beating the second and fourth from the Commonwealth Cup in the Hackwood in July. He couldn't replicate that form in Group 1 company the next twice, but it could be that he's just best fresh. His two best Racing Post Ratings have come after breaks of 231 and 63 days off and he's sure to have been primed for this.

3.45 York
Tattersalls Musidora Stakes (Group 3), 1m2½f

Harry's tip: Miss Tonnerre

Miss Tonnerre looked up against it in the May Hill Stakes last year off the back of a narrow novice win at Newmarket but she stepped up considerably, finishing just two and three-quarter lengths behind the winner Desert Flower. That form has received a massive boost since, with the winner and third filling the first two places in the 1,000 Guineas, while you can put a line through her last effort in France as that came on a testing surface. She left the impression in the May Hill that she'd be suited by further, which is backed up by her pedigree, and she could be underestimated in the market.

4.18 York
Conundrum HR Consulting Handicap, 7f

Harry's tip: Gallant

Gallant has some notable form over over six furlongs, including a defeat of the subsequent Group 2 winner West Acre and the now 93-rated So Darn Hot in a Kempton novice in October, but he looked ready for a step up in trip on his handicap debut at Newmarket last month. He didn't look like he handled the track and was too far back to trouble the leaders, but he kept on nicely and, with the extra furlong and flatter track both sources of probable improvement, he looks well treated.

4.55 York
British Stallion Studs EBF Novice Stakes, 5f

Harry's tip: Roy Lane

Frio did well on his debut considering his poor start and will be a danger if breaking alright this time, but the newcomers look strong and it may be best to side with Roy Lane, who didn't cost as much as Utmost Respect and Ballistic Missile but edges it on pedigree. He's a brother to Lady In France, a Listed-winning sprinter who achieved her career-best RPR over this course and distance, and a half-brother to four winners including the smart Stepper Point, a Group 2 winner who was beaten just half a length in the Nunthorpe. Karl Burke has already had a winning debutante – also a daughter of Showcasing – for this owner and is 10-16 overall with juveniles this season.

5.25 York
Stuey Weston & Friends Getting Out Handicap, 1m4f

Harry's tip: Papagei

Papagei progressed well as a three-year-old last year, winning three times, and returned from a long break with a good third in a Sunday Series event at Musselburgh last month. That form has been boosted since, with the winner going close at Chester next time and the fourth winning twice, and he was entitled to need the run. He produced a career-best RPR that day and still looks to be on a workable mark despite a 2lb rise, with more improvement to come.
