Yorkshire Vikings have been among the early pacesetters in this year's T20 Blast but suffered a shocking setback against Birmingham Bears last time out, losing by ten wickets.

The Vikings recorded their lowest ever total in the format in the game at Edgbaston, falling to 81 all out before failing to take a wicket themselves as the Bears reached their target in a mere 8.3 overs.

Only two of Yorkshire's batsmen reached double figures and one of those willow-wielders - Harry Brook - looks a good bet to again be one of Yorkshire's star performers when they renew their rivalry with Lancashire Lightning, who have struggled for consistency in the 2021 campaign.

Yorkshire have been hit hard by England call-ups and results have fluctuated as a result.

But a constant of their season has been Brook's strong performances at the crease with the 22-year-old having scored 372 runs in nine innings at an average of 41.3, posting a high score of 83 not out.

And even when everything was going wrong for the Vikings against Birmingham, Brook dug deep to fire an unbeaten 28 off 24 deliveries in difficult circumstances.

He looks overpriced to beat skipper Adam Lyth to his team's top runscorer accolade at Headingley.
