Preview

Brest v Marseille

With top-flight survival all but assured and the European qualifying places probably out of reach, Brest can approach the remainder of the Ligue 1 season with a sense of attacking freedom and that could make them dangerous opponents for Marseille.

Brest have shown signs of what they can do this year with a big win over Lille in January, a 5-1 thrashing of Troyes in February and victory away to Lens last time out.

They have a handy forward in Franck Honorat, who has struck nine Ligue 1 goals this season, and should fancy their chances of avoiding defeat against Marseille, who edged past Basel 2-1 on Thursday but have won only two of their last five matches in all competitions.

Real Betis v Athletic Bilbao

Real Betis risk dropping out of the race for the top four in La Liga after defeats to Sevilla and Atletico Madrid in their last two league assignments but they can get back on track with a win over Athletic Bilbao.

Defeat to Eintracht Frankfurt in the Europa League on Wednesday may have further hindered Betis’s confidence but the Andalusians once again dominated possession in that contest, seeing 65 per cent of the ball after having 66 per cent possession against Atletico.

Their attacking quality is superior to that of Athletic Bilbao, who are also not on a great run with three defeats in their last five matches in all competitions.

The visitors have been poor on the road too this season – only three of their nine league wins have come away from their San Mames home – and Betis are worth backing in the draw no bet market.

Fiorentina v Bologna

One point from two matches is hardly blistering form from Fiorentina but they have nonetheless claimed the scalps of Napoli, Genoa, Atalanta (twice) and Spezia since the start of 2022.

And as the battle for the top six intensifies, they should take maximum points from Sunday's clash with Bologna, who have managed only one win in eight games since the turn of the year.
