James Cracknell was odds-on favourite to be the first celebrity to exit season 17 of Strictly Come Dancing last week and the ex-rower duly obliged.

And it would be a surprise if another short-priced favourite doesn't follow him out of the door as David James is odds-on jolly to go on movie week.

Ex-England goalkeeper James garnered the lowest score last week - just ten points - for his Paso Doble, but was saved by the judges after a dance-off against lead-footed Cracknell.

Whether an American Smooth will suit James any better must be open to question.

Second favourite for elimination Anneka Rice improved considerably last week and the Charleston she tackles this week is traditionally one of the higher-scoring dances.

Next in the betting is TV presenter Mike Bushell. He collected just 14 points last week for an American Smooth, from which his partner Katya Jones was lucky to escape uninjured.

It can be expected that Jones has set him a less hair-raising choreography for their Cha Cha Cha this week.
