Preview
Stuart Bingham was nigh on unstoppable this time last year when he was a hugely deserving winner of the English Open, but the Basildon potter could be more vulnerable in Crawley 12 months on.
Bingham edged out Poland's Kacper Filipiak 4-3 in his opener at the K2 venue in a match that featured three tons – the top seed had runs of 103 and 111 in the deciding frame.
But a last-64 date with impressive Chinese teenager Si Juahui could be even more problematic.
Si scored well himself in a 4-0 dismissal of Soheil Vahedi, posting breaks of 72 and 78.
Backing Si, 17, with a handicap start of 2.5 frames can be considered, but he is such a good price to upset the 2015 world champion that the jackpot option is difficult to resist.
