Sheepish Seann Walsh could be kissing goodbye to Strictly

Scandal-hit stars unlikely to win approval of public

BBC1, 6.40pm Saturday

Drama off the dancefloor this week could result in one couple having a short-lived time on it.

The kiss between Seann Walsh and Katya Jones - both (then) in relationships - has dominated tabloid front pages this week, followed by the pair's awkward apologies, and it looks sure to see their share of the vote plummet.

Of course, that will only secure them a place in the dance-off, and Walsh stunned the audience and judges last week with a powerful paso doble.

A similar improvement this week would mean they're no shoo-in to be booted off, but given his issues with timing and musicality in week two's jive, Saturday's fast-paced, energetic Charleston is less likely to suit them than a dramatic latin number.

The judges seemed particularly tough to please last week, but the standard this year is incredibly high, so seemingly they are demanding more of a talented bunch.

That makes finding the winner even more tricky. A small investment on Stacey Dooley to secure the top female spot looks worthwhile at 11-4.
