Match preview

Two improving sides meet in the second round of the Autumn Nations Cup, as Scotland aim to win a sixth successive Test for the first time since 1990 and for only the third time in their history.

Opponents France have lost just one match this year - to Scotland at Murrayfield, a defeat that ultimately cost them a Grand Slam.

Les Bleus are six-point favourites although head coach Fabien Galthie has made multiple changes to his line-up, most significantly naming Matthieu Jalibert at fly-half for the injured Romain Ntamack.

Galthie's consistency of selection, with Antoine Dupont and Ntamack as half-backs, looked to be a key reason for their improvement.

Nonetheless, Jalibert is a talented operator and there is plenty of flair in the French backline, which includes Teddy Thomas and Vincent Rattez on the wings plus Fiji-born Virimi Vakatawa in the centre.

France were impressive against Wales and Ireland in October and look the right favourites but it looks unlikely to be a big win.

Only three of France's last ten Six Nations victories away from home have been by more than 12 points, all against Italy, and a margin of one to 12 looks the best bet.
