Northampton have stepped up their scoring power to win three in a row as they look to close the four-point gap between them and the playoff places, and they look good for another comfortable home victory against Gloucester.

The Saints were strong at the breakdown and in defence when beating Leicester at Welford Road last week, but they have also bagged 17 tries in their last three matches.

Gloucester have picked up after a poor start and rarely get blown away - eight of their 12 defeats have been by a single-figure margin. But they were hammered 59-24 at Quins in March and may find Northampton too hungry for them.

Bristol's eight-match unbeaten run was snapped by a strong Exeter outfit last time out but they have a host of big names back for their trip to West Country rivals Bath and can get back on the winning trail.

Key men Semi Radrada, Charles Piutau, Callum Sheedy, Ben Earl and Nathan Hughes are all back in the Bears' line-up and Bath know exactly how dangerous a full-strength Bristol side can be having lost 48-3 at Ashton Gate at the start of the year.

Bath's defence went missing that night and they have been far from watertight, giving up try bonus points in four of their last six games.

They have scored freely as well, but forecast wet conditions may make it hard for both teams and give an advantage to Bristol's forward strength, and the visitors can edge a win.
