Match preview

Tottenham have little room for error in their quest to secure a top-four finish and they may adopt a must-win approach to their clash at Leeds which could feature plenty of goals.

Ryan Mason's side took a lot of criticism after their 1-0 loss to Manchester City in the League Cup final, which was more one-sided than the scoreline suggests, and they were much more enterprising in last Saturday's 4-0 success at home to Sheffield United which featured a superb hat-trick from Gareth Bale.

Leeds have had an excellent first season back in the Premier League and were on a six-match unbeaten sequence, their longest of the campaign, before last Saturday's 2-0 loss at Brighton.

They looked disjointed and lacked their usual energy against the Seagulls but perhaps that was to be expected given the absence of influential duo Kalvin Phillips and Raphinha.

Marcelo Bielsa wants the duo back in action as soon as possible and suggested they will be given every chance to prove their fitness to face Spurs.

Leeds prefer to be on the front foot and, despite failing to find the net in their last two games, they are the highest scorers among teams outside the top seven.

However, their defence is sure to come under pressure against a probable Spurs front four of Bale, Harry Kane, Alli and Heung-Min Son, which will need to click if the Londoners are to surge towards the top four.

It could be an exciting ride with some high-scoring games and punters can profit from the mayhem this weekend by siding with over 2.5 goals at Elland Road.

Key stat

Seven of Tottenham's last eight league games have featured at least three goals.
