This could be the last East Anglian derby for quite some time with Norwich and Ipswich heading in opposite directions on the football ladder and the home side should be confident of victory.

While the Canaries are in the thick of the Sky Bet Championship title race, Ipswich are at the foot of the table with just three wins in 30 matches - and they have not won an Old Farm derby since 2009.

Both sides have players missing but Town's absences are more pressing. The arrival of James Collins last month was a boost to their flaky defence but he misses this match with a hamstring injury and skipper Luke Chambers is also absent.

Ipswich boss Paul Lambert returns to Norfolk, having guided City to Premier League promotion in 2011, but it could be an embarrassing afternoon for his current club, who have lost three successive matches since a 1-0 home win over Rotherham.

Norwich have responded to a dip in form by prevailing in a tricky set of fixtures, taking maximum points against Birmingham and Leeds either side of holding promotion rivals Sheffield United.

Their goalscoring prowess is highlighted by Jordan Rhodes being unable to cement a first-team place and Teemu Pukki continues to spearhead the attack with 18 league goals.

The hosts are a weaker side without midfield maestro Moritz Leitner, but their depth has carried them through this season and even a second-string side could probably see off the Tractor Boys, who have lost 12 of their 15 league games on the road.

If City can open the scoring, as they have done in each of their last three, it could get ugly for Lambert's men.
