Dundee United and St Mirren could cancel each other out in what looks set to be a tight Ladbrokes Premiership playoff final first leg.

Both sides are in decent form and, unusually for the top-flight side going into these games, St Mirren are in decent nick.

United will be backed by a full Tannadice and their supporters believe they have enough to finally return to the top flight thanks to in-form players such as Pavol Safranko and Paul McMullan.

But they usually offer chances to their opponents and were perhaps fortunate Inverness ran out of steam against them last week.

Saints also have plenty of players brimming with confidence and they can take a draw back to Paisley.
