With their stadium still being built, newly-formed Los Angeles FC are yet to play a home game in this season’s MLS but, having grown accustomed to getting results on the road, they should have no issue sweeping aside an out-of-form Montreal Impact.

An influx of new faces would ordinarily take time to gel. But the contingent at Los Angeles FC, officially formed this year as the 2018 MLS expansion side, have clicked quickly and sit fourth in the Western Conference after five games.

Montreal meanwhile go into the match following back-to-back defeats to NY Red Bulls and New England Revolution and are seventh in the Eastern Conference, although they have won their only home game of the campaign 1-0 against Toronto.

In their four defeats this term, Montreal have been guilty of playing a high line and are susceptible to through balls down the middle or long passes over the top.

Montreal's back-line, which includes veteran defender Rod Fanni, has struggled against speedy attacks and few are quicker than the side they face today .

Los Angeles have a devastating, interchangeable front three of Marco Urena, Carlos Vela and Diego Rossi to call on, with the latter two boasting eight MLS goals between them in 2018.

The visitors may be in their embryonic stage of development, but they have already been involved in high-scoring matches, with three of their games this term featuring five goals or more, and they should capitalise on the defensive vulnerabilities of the hosts.
