The international break is often seen as a convenient time for Premier League clubs to make a managerial change and bookmakers believe Ronald Koeman is on shaky ground at Goodison Park after his Everton side were beaten 1-0 by Burnley.

Koeman is as short as 4-9 to be the next Premier League manager to leave his current position, with Paddy Power offering 8-11. Hills have already opened a book on the Dutchman's replacement with Carlo Ancelotti the 10-1 favourite in a wide-open market.

The defeat leaves the Toffees stuck in 16th spot with Burnley up to the dizzy heights of sixth.

Jeff Hendrick grabbed the only goal at Goodison.

It was a mainly miserable afternoon for supporters of the Merseyside clubs as Liverpool joined their local rivals in being odds-on flops as the Reds were held to a 1-1 draw by Newcastle.

Joselu cancelled out a Philippe Coutinho cracker and Liverpool have been pushed out to 33-1 for the Premier League title.

Arsenal were the only one of the three top-flight favourites to win and their 2-0 triumph over Brighton moved the Gunners up to fifth in the table, six points off the pace set by Manchester City and Manchester United.

Betfred quote just 1-5 that the title heads to Manchester, while Arsenal are alongside Liverpool at 33-1 despite goals in either half from Nacho Monreal and Alex Iwobi at the Emirates.

Sheffield Wednesday beat Leeds 3-0 in the Sky Bet Championship.
