Fylde should hit the target at misfiring Shots

Sutton can continue strong start

Kick offs 3pm Saturday

National League promotion-chasers AFC Fylde have had a slight dip in results – losing 2-0 at home to Salford and drawing 0-0-at Eastleigh – but they can get back on track with a home victory over struggling Aldershot.

Despite the recent setbacks, Fylde are seventh and their 17-point tally is six more than they had at this stage last season.

They made the playoffs last term and are in good shape to do so again, thanks largely to their performances at Mill Farm.

Prior to the loss to big-spending Salford, Fylde had collected ten points from four home matches.

Star striker Danny Rowe continues to impress, scoring seven goals in ten games, and he should enjoy himself against the Shots, who haven't kept a clean sheet since a 0-0 draw at home to Barnet on the opening weekend.

Aldershot are likely to be understrength with captain Karleigh Osborne (Achilles) doubtful and first-choice keeper Will Mannion (quad) unavailable and Fylde should take full advantage.

Sutton are just a point outside the playoffs, having lost just one of nine games, and their strong start can continue with victory at Havant & Waterlooville.

Paul Doswell's underrated side have played four of the teams in the top seven and haven't lost to any of them.

They are only narrow favourites against Havant, who are ten places and seven points below them, and the Surrey side look excellent value.

Happier times have returned for Hartlepool, who are up to fourth after losing just one of their first ten matches.

Pools have piled up 16 points from the last 18 available and look solid odds-on favourites against lowly Eastleigh, who have failed to score in their last four games.
