The four major football leagues on the European continent delivered few surprises in terms of winners, with Paris St-Germain, Bayern Munich and Juventus all winning their respective titles at odds-on, while Spanish champions Barcelona were no better than evens.

Putting faith in Diego Simeone's Atletico - 33-1 at the start - would have brought rewards as they pipped Madrid rivals Real to second place in La Liga and lifted the Europa League.

Bayern's romp to the Bundesliga was predictable, but 13-1 underdogs Eintracht Frankfurt beat them 3-1 in the German Cup final.
