Preview

Newcastle are the most carded team in the Premier League and could land in hot water with the referee once more against Arsenal.

Jacob Murphy has picked up two yellow cards in five starts this season as the winger can often struggle with the defensive responsibility of the wing-back position.

Murphy is likely to be tasked with marking Emile Smith Rowe in the early kick off and odds of 13-2 for him to be shown a card could look generous come full time.

Mohamed Elyounoussi’s loan stint at Celtic last season wasn’t particularly successful but the midfielder did average four shots per game north of the border.

The Dane seems to have brought that willingness to shoot back with him to the Premier League, where he is averaging 2.66 shots per 90 minutes. That puts him in the top 20 in the division and he is taken to have two or more shots as the Saints travel to Liverpool.

Crystal Palace’s defensive frailties were on full show against Burnley last week as they conceded twice from set pieces in their 3-3 draw.

The Eagles have allowed the most shots from set pieces of any team in the league - a total of 60 according to Stats Perform - and Aston Villa will look to exploit that.

Only three Aston Villa players have had more shots on target than Tyrone Mings and the defender netted last weekend. The England international is 4-1 for a shot on target and that mark seems more than fair.

Mings’s defensive partner Ezri Konsa has already notched three shots on target this season and is fancied for another, also at 4-1.
