England out to 5-1 to beat Spain after Croatia stalemate

England are out to 5-1 to beat Spain in their Nations League showdown on Monday following their 0-0 draw with Croatia in Rijeka on Friday.

The match was a drab affair and was memorable mainly for the fact that it was played inside an empty stadium as part of Croatia's punishment for having a swastika visible on their pitch before a European qualifier in 2015.

The Three Lions had the better of the action and will rue missed chances by Harry Kane and Eric Dier who both hit the woodwork, while Marcus Rashford spurned two great opportunities to break the deadlock.

Spain had no such trouble when beating Croatia 6-0 in Elche last month and they are just 63-100 with Hills to see off England in Seville.

England will be without John Stones and Jordan Henderson who are suspended after picking up bookings in the Croatia match.

Spain beat England 2-1 at Wembley last month and will qualify for next June's Nations League finals if they get the better of England once more.

Luis Enrique's men are 1-7 to win League A Group 4 and 5-2 favourites to win the tournament next summer.

Sky Bet go 6-1 that England recover to win the group and dismiss Croatia with quotes of 14-1.

Northern Ireland are out to 25-1 to win League B Group 3 after losing 1-0 to Austria on Friday.

That followed last month's 2-1 defeat to Bosnia to leave Northern Ireland bottom of their group and in danger of relegation. They are 11-2 to exact revenge by beating Bosnia in Sarajevo on Monday.

Bosnia are 8-15 to finish top of the group ahead of 6-4 shots Austria.
