Match preview
Charlton have kicked off 2023 with three successive League One victories and they can take a point against promotion-chasing Bolton at The Valley.
A new-manager bounce seems to be benefiting mid-table Charlton, who have taken ten points from five games since the appointment of Dean Holden in late December.
The Addicks' revival has prompted optimistic talk of a playoff push although the Londoners are nine points adrift of the top six and 13 worse off than fifth-placed Bolton.
However, Charlton's resurgence will have earned them the respect of the Trotters, who kept their promotion push on track with a 1-0 win at home to basement boys Forest Green on Tuesday.
Bolton's midweek fixture was complicated by a 28th-minute red card for their goalscorer Dion Charles. They dug deep to take the points but are likely to be carrying a few tired legs on Saturday and may be happy to secure a share of the spoils.
Key stat
Bolton have drawn three of their last seven league games.
