Match preview

Tottenham prevailed in a five-goal thriller at Newcastle in the Premier League on Sunday and could be involved in another high-scoring clash when they travel to face Vitesse Arnhem in the Europa Conference League.

Spurs boss Nuno Espirito Santo is set to completely alter the line-up that won on Tyneside, but enough quality remains in the final third for them to concern their Eredivisie opponents.

A midfield consisting of Dele Alli, Giovani Lo Celso, Steven Bergwijn and Bryan Gill is expected to support highly-touted teenager Dane Scarlett.

The North Londoners were held to a 2-2 draw at Rennes in their first European assignment before responding with a 5-1 rout of Slovenian side Mura, when substitute Harry Kane netted a second-half hat-trick.

Goals have been a common theme in Tottenham's recent outings. They have failed to keep a clean sheet in eight games and each of those fixtures featured at least three goals.

Tottenham have conceded two or more on each of their last five road trips, so Vitesse should also fancy their chances of getting on the scoresheet.

The Dutch outfit sit sixth in the Eredivisie and ran out 2-1 winners against Feyenoord in their last outing on home soil.

Thomas Letsch’s men were unable to follow up their 2-0 victory at Mura when hosting Rennes but, despite losing 2-1, they won the shot count 16-11 and performed with credit.

With an open contest expected, backing the the match to feature at least three goals could be the best way for punters to wager.

Key stat

Both teams have scored in each of Vitesse Arnhem's last five home league matches.
