Hobart Hurricanes have been the stars of the Big Bash campaign, winning six of their first seven matches, but they face a tricky test against resurgent Perth Scorchers.

Despite having several players away with the Australia one-day team taking on India, the Scorchers have won their last two games to spark their challenge into life after a poor start.

Canny death bowler Andrew Tye played an important role in both victories, taking 4-18 against the Stars and dismissing the dangerous Moises Henriques and Jordan Silk against the Sixers last time out.

Batsmen have struggled against his variations at the Perth Stadium, venue for the clash with the Hurricanes, where he took 2-9 against the Strikers and bowled 12 dot balls in 3.2 overs against the Heat.
